Status Quo once sang " I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I la la la like it, la la la like it, say ooooooo VPP for E-Bikes is good"

But Santa Cruz don't like Status Quo.

Thats why their new Bosch CX powered E-Bike is a 4 bar suspension system not a VPP because sometimes you need to challenge the Status Quo.

Introducing the Santa Cruz Vala. Equipped with the latest Bosch CX motor kicking out 100nm of torque, 750w peak power with a 600WH battery and the controversial 4 bar suspension system!

So why no VPP?

Put simply, the VPP system needs the lower link to be exactly that. Low. And you cant do that if theres a great big motor in the way.

So the Santa Cruz engineers looked at the numbers and started muttering "4 bar" and "horst link" and "Status Quo" under their breath until eventually the Vala was born!

• Class-leading power delivery and rattle-free descending
• Wireless mode control, speed sensor, display
• 600 Wh battery with 250 Wh range extender available aftermarket
