Specialized Demo 11 S-Works 2027
Specialized S-Works Demo 11 : World Cup Speed, Rewritten
The new Demo 11 isn’t an update. It’s a full reset.
Developed over three years on the World Cup circuit with Loïc Bruni, Finn Iles, and Jordan Williams, this is Specialized’s fastest downhill bike to date. Not because of one headline feature, but because everything about it is built around one goal: go faster, everywhere.
Bigger hits, rougher tracks, higher speeds. The faster it gets, the better it works.
200mm Race Platform : Built For Flat-Out Speed
200mm front and rear travel, paired with a RockShox Boxxer Ultimate and Vivid Coil Ultimate DH.
This is a full World Cup suspension setup designed to stay composed when things get properly out of shape. High-speed hits, braking bumps, blown-out sections, it just holds its line and carries speed.
It’s not about comfort. It’s about control when it matters most.
OBB Suspension Layout : Fully Active, Fully Independent
The biggest change sits at the heart of the bike.
Specialized’s Over Bottom Bracket linkage separates suspension forces in a way that keeps the rear end fully active, no matter what’s going on. Braking, impacts, rider input, it all works independently rather than fighting itself.
The result is more grip, more control, and a bike that stays calm when others start to feel overwhelmed.
High Pivot with HighGear Drive : Speed Without Compromise
The Demo 11 runs a high pivot layout with Specialized’s HighGear system.
That gives you the benefits of a rearward axle path for better bump absorption and momentum, without the usual drawbacks. Pedal feedback is eliminated, chain growth is controlled, and you get an extra 30mm of clearance to keep the drivetrain out of harm’s way.
It’s a system designed for racing, not just riding.
FACT 11m Carbon Chassis : Precision Under Pressure
The carbon chassis is built to handle full race loads.
Stiff where it needs to be, controlled where it matters, and designed to stay predictable at speed. Add in adjustable geometry, reach-adjust headset cups, and BB tuning, and you can dial the bike to suit track conditions or rider preference.
Everything is there for one reason. Confidence at race pace.
SRAM XX DH AXS Transmission : Built For Racing
A dedicated DH drivetrain, built to handle full power under load.
- SRAM XX DH AXS T-Type derailleur
- Close range 10-24 cassette
- HighGear crank system
It’s fast, strong, and designed for race runs, not trail rides. Clean shifts, minimal fuss, maximum focus on the track ahead.
Gravity Wheels & Tyres : Ready For Impact
Roval Traverse Gravity alloy rims paired with DT Swiss 350 hubs keep things reliable and tough.
Matched with Cannibal GRID Gravity tyres front and rear, grip and support are exactly where they need to be for aggressive downhill riding.
Demo 11 : Who It’s For
This isn’t a bike for “a bit of bike park”.
It’s for riders who want a proper downhill bike. Whether that’s racing, park laps, or just riding the steepest, roughest tracks you can find, this is built for full commitment.
The Takeaway
The previous Demo was fast.
The Demo 11 is something else entirely.
More composed, more controlled, and noticeably faster when the track gets rough. This is a bike built on World Cup feedback, not marketing ideas.
And you can feel that the second you let it go.
