Santa Cruz Vala 1 CC 2027
The Santa Cruz Vala CC 2027
Full Power, Refined Two Ways
Santa Cruz don’t change direction lightly. So when they moved away from VPP and built the Vala around a full-power platform from the ground up, it wasn’t just different for the sake of it… it’s because it rides better.
Now with the introduction of Vala Lite, the range splits into two distinct personalities. Same frame, same intent, but a different take on how a full-power e-MTB should feel on trail.
Bosch CX Powerhouse
At the core of both builds is the latest Bosch Performance Line CX motor.
Up to 100Nm of torque gives you serious climbing power, but it’s the delivery that stands out. Smooth, predictable, and easy to control when things get technical.
Paired with a 600Wh battery and optional range extender, it’s a setup that balances range and weight without turning the bike into a tank.
XT Di2 vs XT Di2 Lite : Same DNA, Different Feel
Both builds run Shimano XT Di2, so shifting is crisp, fast, and completely dialled.
The difference is in the overall build philosophy:
XT Di2
The full-fat option. More planted, more composed when things get rough, and built for riders who want maximum stability and confidence at speed.
XT Di2 Lite
This is where Santa Cruz are really shaking things up. Same full-power system, but with a lighter, more responsive build that brings the handling closer to a traditional trail bike.
Quicker direction changes, less effort to move around underneath you, and a more connected feel on natural trails.
It’s not less bike. It’s just a different kind of fast.
4-Bar Suspension, Done Right
No VPP here, and that’s deliberate.
The Vala’s 4-bar suspension is designed specifically for the added weight and forces of a full-power e-bike. The result is a more consistent, predictable feel with better braking performance and less noise on trail.
It just works, especially when things get fast and rough.
Balanced, Trail-Ready Geometry
This isn’t extreme geometry for the sake of it.
The Vala is stable when you need it to be, but still agile enough to enjoy on tighter, more technical trails. It climbs efficiently, holds its line on descents, and feels intuitive from the first ride.
Tunable Ride Feel
Two flip chips give you proper control over how the bike rides.
Adjust geometry and suspension progression independently, so you can run it playful and lively, or more planted and composed depending on your terrain and riding style.
Santa Cruz Carbon Quality
The CC carbon frame is exactly what you’d expect.
Light, tough, quiet, and built to last. It’s designed to handle proper riding without creaks, flex, or fuss, and backed by Santa Cruz’s usual confidence in their frames.
Built for Real Trails
This isn’t a bike built around numbers on a chart.
Improved anti-rise keeps things stable under braking. Refined kinematics keep the suspension active and controlled. Increased dropper insertion gives you more room to move.
Everything adds up to a bike that feels right where it matters… out on the trail. Whichever route you go, the character is clear:
- XT Di2 brings maximum stability and confidence when things get fast and rough
- XT Di2 Lite delivers a lighter, more agile, more trail-focused feel with a bit more snap and connection.
Pick your flavour.
Eat your crisps.
