DT Swiss HGC 1400 SPLINE Rear Wheel
- Designed to drop significant weight and add an extra turn of aerodynamic speed to high-end E-gravel bikes, the HC 1400's are a serious upgrade for those looking to maximise performance on all surfaces
- Working with the aerodynamics experts at Swissside, DT developed entirely new testing equipment and procedures for measuring drag and rolling resistance in order for them to develop the HGC's unique rim profile
- The result is a blisteringly fast, 24 mm wide (internal) aerodynamic wheel and that has been designed from the ground up for 35 to 50 c gravel tyres and reinforced to handle the extreme torques that electrically assisted bikes produce
- The 650b or 700c rims are manufactured using a method developed by DT to ensure continuous carbon fibres are aligned with the forces passing through the wheel, increasing strength and stiffness in use without adding weight
- Reinforced Hybrid optimised SPLINE hub-shells, a strengthened 24-tooth ratchet and steel freehub bodies ensure long term durability even under prolonged hi-torque use
- Thicker spokes greatly extend fatigue life and transfer the added torque from the hub more efficiently
- For those looking to use the latest tyre tech the HGC 1400's come tubeless ready but can also be used with standard clinchers
- Available in 12 or 110/148 x 12 'Road BOOST' to fit the latest E-Gravel designs
- When bought as a pair they will include both Shimano and SRAM XDR steel freehubs, 6-bolt rotor adaptors, tubeless rim tape and valves
